Ideas on How to Make Your Honeymoon Extra Special

Most honeymoon destinations are amazing in and of themselves and there is no need for any extra special romantic efforts but that doesn’t mean you should stop right there. Your honeymoon is a once in a lifetime trip, and you should look for ways to make this vacation stand out from the rest. Here are a few ideas that will help you make your honeymoon extra special.

Let the Hotel Know

Typically, a good travel agent will take care of this task for you, but you should make sure you let your hotel know that you are there on your honeymoon. Five star hotels usually put flowers, chocolates or a bottle of champagne in your room and may also offer other complimentary services such as a private candlelit dinner or spa treatment. Even the small hotels usually provide something complimentary to make your stay extra special and memorable.

Pick a Small Luxury Boutique Hotel

For an extra special setting where you can get away from it all and truly focus on each other, think about going to a small luxury boutique hotel versus a large mega resort. This type of setting allows you and your partner some private time together in a unique setting with fewer crowds.

Get a Couples Massage

The suggestion of getting a couples massage on your honeymoon may sound cliché, but it truly is a romantic thing to do and you should give it a try. You can book an extra long session and let all your cares slip away as you completely relax side by side with your sweet heart.

Watch the Sunset or Sunrise

The most tranquil parts of the day are sunrise and sunset so set aside some time and share these moments with your significant other.

Pick a Room with Extra Amenities

If you want to take your romance to the whole new exciting level, make sure you have a strong budget in hand so that you can choose accommodations with some extra features. In room amenities such as a Jacuzzi, claw foot bathtub or a plunge pool are something that will add an extra touch to your vacation. Draw a bath, add some rose petals and pop open an ice cold bottle of champagne to set the romantic mood.
