Oahu is home to the state capital Honolulu and has the majority of Hawaii’s population. This island contains a vibrant mix of natural and cultural wonders. Some of the main attractions near Honolulu are historic Chinatown, the Iolani Palace, and the punchbowl, a crater-turned-cemetery. On the west of Honolulu, visit the historic Perl Harbor which is the site of the 1941 bombing attack and also the home to the USS Arizona Memorial. Be sure to explore Hanauma Bay for premier snorkeling, the North Shore for legendary surfing and the iconic Waikiki beach for fun in the sun and perhaps a surfing lesson.
